For insurance purposes, we consider a family member as your:
- Spouse (by marriage, domestic partnership or civil union)
- Parents and stepparents
- Children, stepchildren, foster children, adopted children or children currently in the adoption process
- Siblings
- Grandparents and grandchildren
- In-laws (must be mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister or grandparent)
- Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews
- Legal guardians and wards
- Paid, live-in caregivers
- Cohabitants (who are at least 18 years old and have lived with you for at least 12 consecutive months)
