The following FAQ provides information about travel insurance policies underwritten by AWP P&C S.A., which is part of the Allianz Group. If your policy wording and IPID confirm that AWP P&C S.A. is your insurer, this FAQ information is relevant to your policy.
For insurance purposes, we define a natural disaster as a large-scale extreme weather or geological event that damages property, disrupts transportation or utilities, or endangers people. This includes, without limitation, earthquakes, fires, floods, hurricanes and volcanic eruptions.
Our travel insurance policies provide cover for cancellations, interruptions and delays caused by natural disasters under the terms and conditions of the Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption and Travel Delay sections of cover.

Please note that, outside of these sections, no cover is provided for losses caused by natural disasters.
